The 2024 Isle of Wight Walking Festival will take place from May 11 to May 19 and from October 5 to October 13, 2024. Walkers of all skill levels can join the events over two weeks.

As over half of the Isle of Wight is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with 500 miles of well-maintained walking trails and 60 miles of coastline, the island is renowned for its excellent hiking opportunities.

The first festival took place in 1999 and featured 39 walking routes.

Most guided tours are free, although some guides may request a donation to charity. This provides you with an excellent opportunity to see the diverse landscapes offered on the island, as well as to meet colorful local residents. Advance registration is recommended.

Marking its 25th anniversary, the festival offers more than 75 routes to choose from, covering 500 miles of walking trails on the island.

Registration is already open, and it is recommended to register quickly as places on the routes fill up very fast.
