Festival Program: From Legendary Names to Rising Stars
This year, Sonar Festival promises to dazzle with its diverse and avant-garde program. On the main stage, SonarVillage, hosted by Estrella Damm, legendary artists such as Folamour with a new audiovisual show (Thursday), Laurent Garnier (Friday), and Kittin b2b David Vunk (Saturday) will perform. The fusion of Spanish electronic music with pop, rap, and R&B will be highlighted by local talents like Judeline, ABHIR, and PabloPablo, as well as international acts Kabeausé, HorsegiirL, and Toya Delazy.
In the daytime program Sónar by Day, the diversity of club culture will be showcased with performances by Marie Davidson, Skin On Skin, DJ Gigola, and Blck Mamba. Additionally, Yerai Cortés will bring a touch of flamenco with his new show "Guitarra Coral".
In the nighttime program Sónar by Night, electronic music innovators such as Air with a full performance of the album "Moon Safari", Jessie Ware with disco sounds, Vince Staples – the creative Californian rapper, and Kaytranada with new music will perform. Techno and house will be represented by Paul Kalkbrenner, Ben Böhmer, Adriatique, Charlotte de Witte with a new show "Overdrive", Richie Hawtin with the conceptual show "DEX EFX X0X", and Kerri Chandler, who will mix live with reel-to-reel tapes in "Reel-2-Reel".
The new SonarLab x Printworks stage will feature a unique audiovisual setup with CASISDEAD, KI/KI live, JASSS, Eliza Rose, Dan Shake, and Sally C. Additionally, SonarCar will host hyperlocal stages from around the world with artists like Tayhana's Club Latinx, La Goony Chonga, Verushka, as well as radical collectives BLEX and Club Cringe.
Sónar+D: Exploring Digital Creativity
An integral part of Sónar by Day, Sónar+D will this year focus on the integration of artificial intelligence in creative industries. The program includes the first conference "Generating Panic?", featuring debates, talks, and performances on the impact of AI on art. Participants include artists Marta Verde and Nicole L'Huillier, researcher Sasha Costanza-Chock, and representatives from creative agencies Superblue and Moment Factory.
