The main event will be the launch of these vibrant balloons decorated with intricate patterns and designs, including new balloons resembling popular cartoon characters, animal figures (with a focus on rabbit-themed balloons for the Year of the Rabbit), and unique shapes such as a steam engine or the figure of Christ the Redeemer. Spectators will not only enjoy this magnificent spectacle but also participate in balloon launches and take tethered balloon rides to admire the magnificent Luye Highland from a bird's eye view.

Additionally, the festival will last 45 days - a week longer than in previous years, making it the longest balloon flight event in the world. The program also includes eight night glow music concerts, virtual reality experiences, water dance shows, fairs, and the opportunity to sample Taiwanese cuisine.

You can reach Taitung by various means. The nearest international airport is in Kaohsiung, from where you can take a bus, taxi, or rented car to Taitung. Trains also run to Taitung from Taipei and other major cities in Taiwan.

If you prefer to travel by car, you can drive to Taitung from Taipei or Kaohsiung via the expressway, passing through scenic mountain areas and enjoying breathtaking views.
