May 4 - September 8
£21 – £38
Since its inception in Edinburgh in 2006, the Foodies Festival has grown into what the organizers call the UK's largest food and drink festival.
Nicknamed Gastro-Glastonbury, the Foodies Festival will take place for the 13th time in 2024, from May 4 to September 8, at various locations across England and Scotland, showcasing exquisite cuisine and fantastic live performances.
Each Foodies Festival celebrates the culinary traditions of its region, featuring local artisan producers, street food vendors, and representatives from the food and beverage industry.
At the heart of each Foodies Festival is the Culinary Theatre, where top chefs showcase their cooking skills. Separate sections include the Bakery and Patisserie Theatre, Drinks Theatre, and Kids' Cookery School. There will also be a shopping village with a craft market.
Musicians will perform on the Musicians Against Homelessness (MAH) stage, with proceeds going to the Crisis charity.
Other activities include silent discos, fire pits, a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, and the "Heat is On!" chili-eating contest.
