June 1
If you're a rock fan and live or plan to visit Colorado in early summer, we have great news for you! On June 1, 2024, the grand Denver Day of Rock festival will take place in Denver, gathering the best rock performers from around the world.
The history of the festival began back in 1995, when a group of local rock enthusiasts decided to organize a one-day outdoor concert. The event was so successful that the next year the festival was expanded to two days, and then became an annual tradition. Legendary bands such as Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Red Hot Chili Peppers have performed on the Denver Day of Rock stage, among many others.
This year, the organizers promise a truly star-studded lineup, the details of which are still being kept secret. However, it is already known that one of the headliners will be the British rock band Muse, whose performance is sure to impress the audience with its stunning special effects and powerful energy.
The festival will take place at the open venue Overland Park Golf Course, located at 1801 S Huron St, Denver, CO 80223. There are several ways to get there:
- By car: from downtown Denver, head south on Interstate 25, then turn onto Hampden Ave and follow the signs to Overland Park Golf Course.
- By public transportation: take the RTD Light Rail Route 0 (zero), and get off at Overland Golf Course Station. It's about a 5-minute walk from the station to the festival entrance.
- By suburban trains: if you're arriving from other cities, you can get to Denver Union Station, and from there transfer to a bus or take a taxi/ridesharing service.
Rock music enthusiasts from the entire region flock to Denver Day of Rock to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of drive, headbanging, and true rock-n-roll! Hurry to buy tickets while they are still available. See you at the festival!
